How to create a task by voice
Say it and it is captured. Tap the voice button, tell Tase what you need, and it becomes a task with a due date automatically.
Voice is the fastest way to get a task out of your head and into a list. Instead of typing, opening an app, and fumbling through fields, you say what you need and Tase handles the rest. Dates, priorities, and notes are all parsed from natural speech.
Create a task hands-free
- 1
Tap the voice button
On the main screen, tap the microphone icon to start voice mode. - 2
Say your task naturally
Speak as you would to a person. "Remind me to call the dentist tomorrow morning" or "Add a task to finish the report by Friday." - 3
Tase confirms
Tase reads back what it captured so you know it heard correctly. The task is created with the due date and details parsed from your words. - 4
Review in Tasks
Open the Tasks tab to see the new entry. You can edit any detail if Tase misheard something.
What Tase understands from speech
- Dates and times: "tomorrow," "next Monday," "by 3pm," "in two weeks."
- Priorities: "urgent," "important," "low priority."
- Context: "for the project," "at the office," "when I get home."
- Batching: "add three tasks for the weekend" followed by listing them.
Be specific about timing
Tase misheard my task. Do I have to re-record?+
No. Open the Tasks tab, tap the task, and edit the title, due date, or notes directly. Voice is for capture speed; manual editing handles corrections.
Can I create multiple tasks in one voice message?+
Yes. If you list several items, Tase creates a separate task for each. Pause briefly between items so the boundaries are clear.
Does voice task creation work offline?+
No. Voice processing requires an internet connection. Offline, you can still create tasks by typing them in the Tasks tab.
