How to edit or delete a memory

Memories are not permanent records. Open the Brain, find the memory, and edit the text or remove it entirely. Tase updates immediately.

The Tase TeamTase LLC1 min read

Memories are how Tase stays personal, but they are never locked. If the app captured something inaccurate, or you simply change your mind, you can edit the text or delete the memory in a few taps. Changes apply instantly across all your devices.

Edit a memory

  1. 1

    Open the AI Brain

Tap the Brain tab, then select Memories.
  2. 2

    Find the memory

Scroll or use the search bar at the top. You can also filter by category such as Preferences, Habits, or People.
  3. 3

    Tap to open

Tap the memory card to open the detail view.
  4. 4

    Edit and save

Tap Edit, change the text, then tap Save. Tase uses the updated version immediately in future conversations.

Delete a memory

Open the memory, tap the trash icon in the top right, and confirm. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, but Tase can re-extract the memory in a future conversation if the same topic comes up again.

Editing versus deleting

If a memory is mostly right but has one wrong detail, edit it. If it is entirely irrelevant, delete it. Editing preserves the context Tase has built around that memory.
Will Tase recreate a memory I deleted?+

It might, if the same information comes up naturally in a future conversation. If you want to prevent a specific memory permanently, add a note in Prompts telling Tase to ignore that topic.

Can I delete all memories at once?+

Yes. In the Brain Memories section, tap the menu in the top right and choose Clear All Memories. This removes every memory but keeps your notes, ideas, and knowledge intact.

How long does a sync take after I edit?+

Edits sync in real time. On a normal connection, the updated memory is visible on your other devices within seconds.
