How to export or delete your data

Request a full data export or permanently delete your account and everything in it, right from Settings.

The Tase TeamTase LLC1 min read

You own your data. That means you can get a copy of everything Tase has stored for you, or delete it all permanently. Both options are available in Settings, and both are yours to use without contacting support.

Export your data

  1. 1

    Open Settings

Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
  2. 2

    Tap Privacy and Data

Scroll to the Data section and tap Export My Data.
  3. 3

    Confirm the request

Tase prepares a downloadable archive of your tasks, budgets, notes, memories, and conversation history.
  4. 4

    Download

You receive an in-app notification and an email when the export is ready. Download the file from the same screen.

Delete your account

  1. 1

    Open Settings

Tap your profile icon, then Privacy and Data.
  2. 2

    Tap Delete Account

This is at the bottom of the data section. Read the warning carefully.
  3. 3

    Confirm

Tase asks you to confirm twice because deletion is permanent. Authenticate to finalize.

Deletion is irreversible

Deleting your account removes all tasks, budgets, notes, memories, and history within 30 days. It cannot be undone. Export your data first if there is any chance you will want it later.
What format is the export in?+

Your data exports as a structured JSON file that you can open in any text editor or import into other tools. Media files like images are included as separate files in the archive.

How long does deletion take?+

Your account is immediately inaccessible after confirmation. Full removal of all data from backups and storage completes within 30 days. You cannot recover anything after deletion.

Can I delete specific items without deleting my whole account?+

Yes. You can delete individual tasks, expenses, notes, and memories from within each section of the app. Account deletion is only for removing everything at once.
