How to use voice mode in the car
Tase works with CarPlay so you can capture tasks and log expenses without looking at your phone. Here is how to set it up and stay safe.
Voice mode is designed to be hands-free, which makes it especially useful in the car. When connected to CarPlay, Tase routes audio through your car speakers and uses the vehicle microphone so you can capture ideas, tasks, and expenses without touching your phone.
Connect to CarPlay

Plug in or connect wirelessly
Connect your iPhone to your car using a USB cable or wireless CarPlay, the same way you do for music or maps. - 2
Open Tase from the CarPlay dashboard
Tase appears on the CarPlay app grid. Tap it to launch the driving-optimized interface. - 3
Tap the voice button
Tap the microphone on screen or use your car steering wheel voice button if supported, then speak naturally.
Safety first
What you can do hands-free
- Create a task by saying "Remind me to call the dentist tomorrow."
- Log an expense by saying "I just spent 12 dollars on coffee."
- Add a memory by saying "Remember that the server password is new-format."
- Ask a question by saying "What is on my list today?"
Tase does not show up on my CarPlay screen. How do I fix it?+
On your iPhone, open Settings, General, CarPlay, and make sure your car is connected. If Tase is missing from the app grid, tap Customize and add it. Some cars require a restart of the infotainment system.
Can I use voice without CarPlay?+
Yes. If your car supports Bluetooth but not CarPlay, pair your phone and use Tase voice mode directly from the lock screen. Audio routes through your car speakers.
Does driving mode disable any features?+
Driving mode shows a simplified interface and hides features that require reading. Everything is still accessible from your phone when parked.
