An agent is a background assistant that takes a multi-step instruction and works through it on your behalf. Instead of a single question and answer, an agent plans, takes several actions, and returns a result. Agents are available on the Max plan.
How agents differ from chat
A normal chat exchange is one round: you ask, Tase answers. An agent is longer-running. You give it a goal like "research the best standing desks under 400 dollars and summarize the top three," and the agent gathers information, organizes it, and delivers a finished result. You can check on it while it runs or let it finish on its own.
What agents can do
- Research a topic and return a structured summary with sources.
- Draft a document or email based on your notes and preferences.
- Break a goal into a task list and add it to your Tasks tab.
- Review your week and suggest what to prioritize next.
Agents respect your Brain
Are agents included in Pro?+
No. Agents are a Max feature. Pro includes unlimited tasks, extended voice, and the full AI Brain. Max adds agents, priority voice, and advanced health tracking.
Can an agent make changes to my account without asking?+
Agents can add tasks and notes based on your instructions, but they do not delete data or change settings without your review. You always see what an agent produced before anything is committed.
How long can an agent run?+
Agents are designed for tasks that take a few minutes, not hours. You receive a notification when the agent finishes, and you can review or dismiss the result.
