Talk to Tase hands-free in the car
Use Tase with CarPlay so you can capture tasks, check your day, and ask questions without touching your phone. Covers setup, the wake interaction, and what works while driving.
Driving is one of the worst places to type a task and one of the best places to think of one. With CarPlay, Tase routes the voice conversation through your car speakers and microphone, so you can capture thoughts and ask questions without ever picking up your phone.
What you need
Walkthrough: your first hands-free session
- 1
Start your car and let CarPlay connect
Once your iPhone pairs with the car over USB or wireless CarPlay, the car display shows your available apps. Tase appears in the app list if it is installed. - 2
Open Tase on the CarPlay screen
Tap the Tase icon on the headunit. The voice interface takes over, routed through the car audio system instead of the phone speaker. - 3
Speak a task or question
Say something like "Remind me to reply to the vendor email when I park" or "What is the first thing on my list today?" Tase processes it through the car microphone. - 4
Listen for the response
Tase replies through the car speakers. The voice readback confirms what was captured so you do not need to look at a screen to verify. - 5
End the session by switching audio
When you are done, switch the car back to music or radio, or simply stop talking. The session ends cleanly and audio routing returns to normal.
Audio routing is automatic
What works well while driving
- Capturing tasks the moment they occur to you, which is usually while driving.
- Asking what your day looks like, so you arrive already prepared.
- Quick factual questions that do not require reading a long answer.
Keep your eyes on the road
The car is dead time that voice can bring back. Once Tase is on CarPlay, the commute becomes the place where loose thoughts get captured instead of lost.
