Most people who do not finish a marathon are not undertrained. They are injured, and they got injured in the four weeks where the long run went up and the sleep went down and nobody was watching the second number.

So this system tracks recovery as seriously as mileage. The long run carries its own checklist — hydrate, fuel mid-run, stretch and log the distance — and three daily habits cover the parts of training that happen when you are not running.

The weekly shape

  • One long run, treated as the hard session of the week
  • One easy recovery run, deliberately marked easy
  • One strength and mobility session
  • One short planning task that sets next week before the week starts
Is this a specific 16-week plan?+

No. It installs the repeating structure, not a prescribed mileage ladder. You set the distances; the system makes sure the sessions and the recovery are on the calendar.

Does it read my running watch?+

Workouts you log in Tase drive the goal. Watch and health-app syncing is separate from this system.

Can I use it for a half marathon?+

Yes. Rename the goal and keep the same weekly shape — the sessions and habits do not change.
