Run a whole company from one thread

A one-person company does not have a finance team, a chief of staff, or a project manager. It has you, and a phone, and about nine seconds between the thought and whatever interrupts it. The tooling most founders end up with is five apps that each hold a quarter of the picture and none of which talk.

The premise here is narrower than "AI runs your business". It is that the capture step should cost nothing. You say the sentence you would have said to a person, and the expense, the reminder and the goal all exist a second later — in one place, where a later question can reach all three at once.

One sentence, three records

The line at the top of this page is not a demo script. It is three separate objects in three different parts of the app, created from a single dictated sentence: a $90 expense filed under tools, a reminder dated to Thursday, and a goal called "close the design role" that will keep showing up until it is done or you kill it.

Doing that by hand is four screens and maybe ninety seconds, which is exactly why it usually does not happen. The renewal goes uncategorised, the investor update slips to Friday, and the hiring goal lives in your head where it competes with everything else in there.

Then ask it a real question

Capture only matters if the data answers questions later. "What did I spend on tools this month?" is a query across your own expenses, not a search of your memory. So is "what did I say I would do about hiring?" — the goal, the notes around it and the reminders attached to it all come back together, because they were never in separate apps to begin with.

The other half is context. Your Brain holds the durable facts about the company — what it does, who is on it, what you decided last month and why — so answers arrive already knowing the situation. You are not re-explaining the business at the top of every conversation, which is the tax that makes general-purpose chat assistants tiring to use for work.

Hand off the reading

Some founder work is not thinking, it is slogging: reading a diff, triaging a backlog, summarising a market. Deploy an agent from a template, point it at the work, and close the app. It runs on its own, uses your Brain for context, and leaves a report you read when you surface.

A code reviewer on the latest diff is the obvious one. Research and triage agents are the same shape: a job with a clear finish line that does not need you sitting on it.
